Help HBN celebrate 7 Years of serving the Handmade Beauty Industry by nominating your choice for 2007 Handmade Beauty Business of the Year!
HBN's Handmade Beauty Business of the Year Award challenges newsletter readers, website visitors and other members of the public to help HBN recognize a member company that stands head and shoulders above the rest. In establishing the Handmade Beauty Business of the Year Award, we will honor a member company headed by a leader whose devotion to the industry, creativity, energy, vitality, innovation, vision and entrepreneurial spirit have positively impacted his or her business and the handmade beauty industry, and made a difference in their community and the world. Our goal is to recognize and share the winner's amazing accomplishments in hope that others will discover some measure of encouragement and inspiration that will help them strive for success. The winners will also be posted to HBN's website, included in the Handmade Beauty Business Magazine and included in any other locations as deemed appropriate by HBN.

2005 Handmade Beauty Business Of The Year
Dennis and Kayla Fioravanti, Essential Wholesale, Oregon
Essential Wholesale
is a growing family owned business that makes and supplies
hundreds of different
natural source cosmetic bases, including lotions, creams, shower gels and
body oils. They also supply a large variety of carrier oils, waxes, butters,
essential oils, clays and packaging materials to the handmade
beauty industry,
as well as provide private label services.
Launched in 1998, Essential Wholesale's
humble beginnings include a small selection of essential oils stored in the
family medicine cabinet. Since then, Dennis, Kayla (pictured here) and their three children
have grown the business to a multi-million dollar venture that has been
instrumental in helping thousands of entrepreneurs experience success as
small business owners. Says Dennis,
"HBN is the best launching pad resource for businesses like ours. We
have been able to network with other businesses and suppliers and have been
able to acquire many new clients that have become the backbone of our
business."
2006 Handmade Beauty Business Of The Year
Janae Chang, Raw Beauty, Arizona
Raw Beauty started after Janae made a batch of lotion using a hand held
mixer and some jojoba and sweet almond oil. She quickly saw that combining
her love for pampering herself with the skills accumulated during a stint in
culinary school had combined to create something truly special. Today,
lotion is still her number one selling product, but she also sells a variety
of other goodies like cleansers, sprays, body scrubs, lip treatments,
skincare products and mineral makeup.
Janae, a mother and wife, feels that her business allows her to perfectly
balance work and family. "I love going to work every day, but I also
love being with my family, and I feel I have created the perfect balance
with work and family life, so neither one suffers," she says.
"Being named Handmade Beauty Business Of The Year is sincerely an
honor. It symbolizes all of the hard work, dedication and passion that I put
into my company every day."
