4. Beauty & The Business Trivia
Question: last
week's winner was HBN member Sandra Gibson-Posey of Ft.
Washington, MD. Sandra won an autographed copy of Lisa's newly published book, "Success Never
Smelled So Sweet"!
Last
Week's Question: Carol's
Daughter was named by its owner Lisa Price in honor of Lisa's mother. To win
this week, provide this information about Lisa's mother: (1) her full name;
(2) her date of birth; and (3) the first names of her grandchildren (Lisa's
children).
Last Week's Answer:
Carol Frances Hutson, September 29, 1942, Forrest and Ennis
This Week's Question: Many HBN members include
goat milk in their soap. Why? A variety of reasons I am told, among them
that certain naturally occurring ingredients in goat milk are good for the
skin. One such ingredient helps rejuvenate and naturally exfoliate the top
layer of skin. To win this week, name that ingredient. Be the first to correctly answer this week's question and win a
bar of soap reviewed in this issue!
Please read the contest rules here
before submitting your entry. Put "TRIVIA CONTEST ANSWER" in the
subject line or your answer will not be considered.
While time does not permit me to respond personally to all entrants,
the winner's name will be announced in the next newsletter!

Handmade Beauty Product Review:
Lavender Oatmeal Goat Milk Soap
Lavender Oatmeal Goat Milk Soap
4 ounces | $3.95
Renee Deal, owner of HBN member Deal Farm
Soap Co., has a passion for goat's milk. She puts it in just about
everything from her doggie shampoo to her Skin Therapy Creme. And like any
self respecting handmade beauty products manufacturer using goat milk in
their products, Deal Farm also uses it to make their soaps, and I am lucky
enough to have a few bars of my own. Lavender Oatmeal soap by Deal Farm is
perfectly scored to fit precisely in my hand, smells wonderful, cleans well
and leaves my skin feeling fabulous too. Each bar is securely and neatly
wrapped like a present in a generous amount of printed fabric and then
covered with an easy to read sleeve describing the soap, ingredients and
offering suggestions for making the product last as long as possible.
I also tried Deal Farm's Garden Lavender Bath
Bliss milk bath with goat milk and minerals. Milk and sea salts combine with
oats to moisturize and soothe the skin while soaking. I dumped all 7 ounces
of my jar ($7.95) into my Jacuzzi-sized tub and jumped in with my kids.
(Hey! A" community bath" with the kids is better than no bath at
all!!) The ingredients were gentle enough for even my 6-month old, plus the
lavender essential oil helped calm everyone down for bedtime.
You can get your own goat's milk products
from Deal Farm Soap Co.
There are enticing pictures of all products at the site and the gift sets
available (including a Fragrance Fee combination) make gift giving easy and
affordable. Wholesale and private label also available.
