Itinerary
Day 1 - Tuesday, June 3
Arrive at Marseille Airport @ 11:00am to meet Jim and Robbi in the International Terminal. Travel to Gordes for an afternoon visit,
followed by a trip to a Lavender Museum where lavender hydrosol and essential oils are available for
purchase. Enjoy a welcome dinner and walking tour of historical St. Remy. Fabulous gathering and welcome dinner in St. Remy. Check in to lovely accommodations.
Day 2 Wednesday, June 4
Visit to a colorful Provencale market and lunch at our leisure, followed by a visit to a perfume museum and French aromatherapy boutique. Afterward, we spend the late afternoon on a lovely drive to a winery for wine tasting and tour and visit to an aromatic garden. Leisurely dinner in a lovely restaurant.
Day 3 Thursday, June 5
Morning excursion to lavender country to visit to an artisan distiller and fields of early blooming lavender plants. We will enjoy a lecture and distillation process from start to finish.
Plants to be distilled depend on the harvest but will likely be lavendin, sage or rosemary. We will then enjoy a lovely Provencale lunch and have time to explore and shop in a beautiful French village.
Then, we'll visit lavendin fields and an amazing 12 century Abbey and rose garden with rose based products available for purchase. Depending on the timing of our day, we may return to St. Remy via picturesque Gorge de la Nesque. We'll then enjoy dinner at our leisure.
Day 4 Friday, June 6
We'll pack in the morning and then enjoy a visit to the Marius Fabre soap factory in Salon, followed by a tour through the Luberon to a sumptuous gourmet lunch in one of Provence’s finest restaurants. We'll then visit a beautiful village, including the Cote Bastide boutique, then journey to Grasse to arrive in the evening. Dinner at our leisure in
Grasse.
Day 5 Saturday, June 7
We'll enjoy a hands on perfume workshop taught by a French "nose" and we'll each have our own perfume organ and the chance to create our own perfume! We'll enjoy lunch at our leisure and then visit the International Perfume museum. A short visit to a lovely artists village will top off the day, along with a gourmet farewell dinner.
Day 6 Sunday, June 8
Travel to Nice airport to depart.
